Adhesives Research, Inc. Opens New Office in China

February 2007
GLEN ROCK, Pa.—As part of an ongoing commitment to support the company’s growing number of electronics customers in Asia, Adhesives Research, Inc.—a global developer and manufacturer of custom pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, coatings, specialty films and laminates—announces the opening of a new representative office in Shanghai, China.

The Shanghai office will enable Adhesives Research to offer increased direct contact and technical support to the company’s rapidly expanding electronics business (hard disk drive, computer peripherals, wireless communication, semiconductor, and display). Representation in China will also provide new opportunities for the company to expand its presence into the untapped Asian medical diagnostics and devices, pharmaceutical, and brand protection market sectors.

“Our close proximity to China’s technology and manufacturing hub provides us with the opportunity to deliver and improve upon our promise of providing a high standard of support to our growing number of customers in China,” says Jackson Tan, managing director of Adhesives Research PTE Ltd. in Singapore. “Increased market accessibility enables us to better understand our customers’ needs so we can respond efficiently with the customized products they value and expect from Adhesives Research.”

Adhesives Research aims to strengthen the company’s customer-oriented focus in Asian markets, and has demonstrated this through the opening of a Singapore sales office in 2000. The China office will function as a critical link for enhancing customer contact and communications with the company’s other manufacturing and sales locations around the world, including the United States, Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, and Singapore.
