CEOs and Investors To Meet At the RFID Investment Summit

December 2006
BOSTON, Mass.—CEOs from the creme-de-la-creme of the pure-play RFID companies that are leading the market as well as stealthy start-ups will gather in Boston on February 20 at the RFID Investment Summit to meet with investors. Whether you are an investor or a company seeking funding this must-attend event provides unrivalled opportunities for networking, access to difficult-to-find RFID company and industry financial data, and coverage of the competitive landscape.

An expert’s panel of experienced investors and industry luminaries will discuss the progress of RFID such as profitable sectors now or soon, where the largest orders are, over and undersupplied sectors, and underperforming sectors and reasons why. Ten year market forecasts will be given. This will be followed by CEOs from 20 leading RFID companies covering progress in four categories – 1) RFID Hardware Systems, 2) RFID Software, Networks and Services, 3) Real-Time Locating Solutions, and 4) Emerging Sectors. Some are presenting exclusively for the first time.

The RFID industry is emerging from its transition stage. Mandates are beginning to take hold, and lesser-publicized RFID niches like Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS) are beginning to flourish. So while many investors have become negative on RFID over the past year or two, this capitulation stage that we are now in is the best time to start looking for RFID opportunities on the horizon.

The RFID Investment Summit is organized by a unique analyst-investor collaboration between IDTechEx and Quan Ventures – companies with extensive experience in RFID investments. IDTechEx, an independent RFID analyst, has provided due diligence and benchmarking for venture capital firms investing in RFID companies for over six years, in addition to profiling companies to help them raise funds. Quan Ventures was an early investor in RFID companies with subsequent RFID exits, and is well-known for presentations at RFID events. See www.idtechex.com/invest for more details and to register.

The Investment Summit precedes the optional two-day RFID Smart Labels/Active RFID conference that begins the following morning. For the past six years, this large-scale industry event has brought together international RFID vendors and customers in one venue, providing education and networking opportunities. Register for both for the best saving! See www.idtechex.com/USA
