Clemson University/FFTA’s Digital Flexo Plate Seminar Returns August 1-2

June 2007
CLEMSON, S.C.—The popular Seminar Series, “Optimizing the Digital Plate Package for Flexography,” continues at Clemson University’s Department of Graphic Communications August 1 and 2. In two days of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions attendees will learn to un-complicate digital plate prepress and production in order to achieve optimal results from their digital workflow.

The topics discussed are recommended for:
• Practitioners wishing to maximize their digital plate making capabilities.
• Companies planning to convert to a digital platemaking workflow.
• Training new employees and updating current staff.
• Companies with plate consistency and performance issues.

Joining Clemson’s faculty will be top industry innovators such as Mark Mazur (Dupont Imaging Technologies), Mark Samworth (Artwork Systems, Inc.), Larry Goldberg (Beta Industries), David Chinnis (Flint Group Printing Plates), Bob Dalton (Kodak), Larry Moore (Esko), and many more.

The team of experts will teach attendees how to avoid platemaking pitfalls and fully capitalize on the benefits of the digital process by first learning the proper rules and then correctly applying the workflow tools available.

The cost for an individual is $495. Group rates are available for three or more attendees, at $450 per person. For details and registration, visit http://graphics.clemson.edu/itc/sem_plates.htm, or contact Duane Woolbright at 864-656-7664 or via e-mail, duanew@clemson.edu.
