Clemson Offers 7-Color Printing Seminar

April 24, 2009
CLEMSON, S.C.—Clemson University will hold a Seven Color Process Printing seminar June 2-4, 2009 at its Sonoco Institute. This seminar brings together a group of presenters, Clemson faculty, and attendees to discuss aspects of 7-color process printing in presentations and hands-on breakout sessions to provide a foundation of knowledge when evaluating the technology. The seminar will implement live a 7-color process workflow, and test it with a live training job.

The use of an expanded gamut printing system for product packaging is being evaluated by many consumer product companies, color separators and specialists, and converters. Developing, adopting, and implementing a 7-color process system requires a thorough understanding of color management and color reproduction, along with an understanding of opportunities, challenges, and limitations of the system.
