April 2008

SANDY HOOK, Conn.—Curtis Packaging received a major award from the National Paperboard Packaging Competition for its Great Spirits Mini Bundt Cakes carton.

The unique packaging was designed and manufactured with the purpose of reflecting the premium product it contains. The carton features a four-color process, spot matte varnish, and spot gloss UV. The result is a smooth but captivating packaging that reinforces the brand positioning.

In addition, the carton was manufactured using 100 percent wind power and it is 100 percent recyclable, which positively emphasizes Great Spirits’ corporate social responsibility.

“We are very honored with the National Paperboard Packaging Competition for its decision to recognize Great Spirits Mini Bundt Cakes” said Don Droppo, Jr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We believe in delivering superior packaging to our customers, and this is indeed a great piece.”
