In-House Label Printing

PLYMOUTH, Minn.—Primera Technology, Inc. announced shipping of its new CX1000 Color Label Printer. The CX1000 is designed for producing short- to medium-run jobs from 50 to 5,000 labels per roll in various sizes. With 2,400 dpi print resolution and print speed of 16.25 feet per minute, CX1000 delivers professional full-color print quality along with high-speed production.

The CX1000 prints on a variety of laser-qualified label materials including pressure-sensitive plain papers, white and clear polyesters, and more. A wide range of approved matte, semi-gloss, high-gloss, and specialty food and beverage label materials are available. Primera has also qualified a selection of eco-friendly substrates that are made of up to 100 percent post-consumer waste.

12 pt. Silver Foil Board

CHICAGO—GPA announced that its Ultra DigitaL® Silver Foil Board certified for HP Indigo presses is now available in a 12 pt. C2S sheet. GPA added this sheet to meet the demand for two-sided printing, and continues to offer the original 10 pt. C1S sheet. This provides more options for creating eye-catching metallic effects without added time, cost, or equipment associated with special inks and foils.

Ultra Digital Silver Foil Board allows the creation of true metallic effects in short runs, and gives a brand or message a premium feel, added dimension, and extra attention. It's suitable for variety of finishing processes including laminating, diecutting, scoring, gluing, folding, embossing, debossing, and UV coating. The 12 pt. C2S sheet features a silver foil front and printable white surface on back; the 10 pt. C1S features a silver front and non-printable white surface on back.
