DRAABE Offers Free Air Humidification CD-ROM

January 2006
LEXINGTON, Mass.— Success is in the Air is the new multimedia CD-ROM developed by DRAABE, the pioneer in high-pressure air humidification. The free 35-minute CD-ROM is designed for those who need to optimize air quality in the printing and packaging industry, either from a commercial or technical perspective.

Applications and benefits

The interactive CD-ROM is divided into short segments that explain how excessively dry room air arises in printing plants and the negative effect it can have on the quality and production speed of paper processing. One segment discusses the applications and benefits of air humidification technology for printing and packaging plants. The CD-ROM notes that a lack of air humidification can have significance on the paper characteristics and the machine runnability. Printing problems can arise, such as creasing, register mark discrepancies, and static electricity build-up. By using an air humidification system, a printer can reduce spoilage, cut costs, avoid press

downtime, and keep customers happy.

Another segment on water treatment notes that printers need to know what elements are contained in their water; untreated tap water is not suitable for air humidification or printing machines. 3D animations are used to explain and clarify the water treatment topic.

Full service concept

The CD-ROM also explains the various air humidification equipment designed by DRAABE for different applications. In particular, it details DRAABE?s unique full service concept, such as full service replacement units every six to eight months, in-house planning for unique printing plant design, mobile on-site service, and guaranteed emergency service.

"Air humidification is one of the most important areas that printers need to consider to operate a highly-efficient and productive plant," says Wafik Kouchouk, director of sales for DRAABE. "However, there are many avenues to

choose and options to consider. Our new CD-ROM is a comprehensive overview of humidification systems that will help printers decide in which direction to move and which system is best for their operation."

The CD-ROM is available free of charge from www.draabe.com. Please send your name, company name, and address to receive the CD-ROM.
