Expect Innovation: INFO*Flex 2014

April 25, 2014
Not many events in North America encompass the entire package printing and converting marketplace under one roof. This time of year, it's INFO*FLEX 2014 in Baltimore. Innovation will take center stage as hundreds of new products, services and technological breakthroughs will be unveiled. The show floor features products—and the companies that create them—from virtually every market segment of the industry, including more than 30 conventional and digital press manufacturers. If you want to see what’s in store for the future of the package printing and converting industry, INFO*FLEX is the place to be. If you're headed to Charm City next week, here are a few we've heard about that are worth seeing. Hope we see you there!

Domino (#1210) will fill you in on the new N610 high-speed color + white digital UV inkjet label press printing at speeds up to 246 fpm with 600 dpi native resolution.  Domino also has a not-to-be-missed presentation in the Solutions Theater from 1:40 to 1:55 on both days of the show.

Epson (#1216) will be talking about the SurePress L-4033AW seven-color inkjet digital label press, with white ink for use on clear and metallic substrates. You'll also learn about the SurePress L-6034VW, the first to use Epson’s new PrecisionCore line-head technology and new LED-cured UV ink with in-line digital varnishing.

FlexoWash (#904 and 906) will have the latest in cleaning technology for anilox rolls, platers and parts.

Hybrid Software (#622) has packaging prepress applications for trade shops and converters of all sizes in tag & label, wide web flexography, corrugated, and folding carton applications. Be sure to ask about PACKZ, Cloudflow, Patchplanner, as well as Facelift, Pipeline, Taskforce, and Proofscope.

KBA-Flexotecnica (#1010) wants to tell you what happens when two great companies—Koenig & Bauer and Flexotecnica come together.

Mark Andy (#733) is positioning itself as the Total Solutions Provider. Learn about the latest Business Responsive Technology designed to deliver on any printing situation. Hear about the Performance Series and the new hybrid inkjet platform—the Mark Andy Digital Series, the latest inspection rewind technologies from Rotoflex, and the Mark Andy Print Products line of supplies and consumables.

Muller Martini (#424) says its Variable Sleeve Offset Press (VSOP) delivers a complete printing solution for all your packaging needs. With plates said to cost 80% less than flexo plates, this may be a good technology choice for short and gang runs.
