FFTA Announces Theme for 2011 Annual Forum

Flexographic Technical Association sets theme for Annual Forum & INFO*FLEX

RONKONKOMA, N.Y.—The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA), a leading professional society dedicated to advancing the flexographic printing process, announced the official theme and logo for its 2011 Annual Forum.

“Forum 2011: Setting the Pace for Flexo Packaging Excellence” will be the fundamental premise of next year’s conference, which will be staged on May 1-4 at the brand new JW Marriott Hotel & Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

One of the pre-eminent events in the flexographic printing and converting trade, which earlier this year welcomed a record number of printers/converters and consumer product companies, will be chaired by industry veterans Mark Coffman, sales representative, Dixie Graphics, and Randy Butler, PCG marketing manager, Printpack, Inc.

“Building on what was accomplished at Forum 2010 in Las Vegas, we race on towards the goal of achieving Flexo Packaging Excellence. The industry leaders who have stepped up to serve on the Forum Committee will help show attendees how to set the pace. So, ladies and gentlemen start your engines and make your plans to race to Indianapolis for Forum 2011,” says Coffman.

The Forum 2011 agenda includes sessions on Emerging Trends & New Technologies, FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances), FQC (Flexo Quality Consortium), Inks & Substrates, Lean Manufacturing (a new addition to the lineup), Prepress, and Sustainability.

Coinciding with Forum 2011 is the INFO*FLEX Exhibition, one of the single largest package printing and in-line converting networking opportunities in North America for 2011. INFO*FLEX boasts 200+ booths manned by 160+ of flexography’s leading suppliers, as well as a presentation theater, an educational pavilion, a complimentary luncheon, a networking social, and more. INFO*FLEX, already at 70 percent sold, is designed to facilitate a host of interactive opportunities, both personal and structured. Its objective is to help make each and every Forum attendee a better, more efficient and consistent high-quality print provider.
