Flexotecnica Partners with SJW Associates

November 19, 2010
NEW BERLIN, Wisc.—Flexotecnica has recently partnered with well-known industry icon Steve Wilkinson to represent the company in the southeastern states of North and South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama and Virginia.

SJW Associates LLC, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, will bring the news of Flexotecnica’s latest developments to converters in this area, focusing on total press solutions and the quick return on investment (ROI) that comes from in-depth training and process knowledge. “Converters are more and more looking for a total solution, where it’s not simply about the press, but all the ancillaries needed, and, most importantly, the process knowledge and support needed to get the most out of their press investment,” states Wilkinson.

“Flexotecnica is proud to partner with such a renowned individual as Steve, who has owned a converting plant himself and knows the challenges our customers face. Also, as a former Chairman of the European Flexographic Technical Association (EFTA), Steve has an excellent overall industry view and a vision of what it will take to get flexography to the next level,” said Tom Jacques, Flexotecnica’s Sales Manager for North America.

The focus on education at all levels—operating, maintenance and management—is a key to success in the highly competitive flexo industry. Wilkinson also helps to run a program at Flexographic Trade Services to train returning military veterans in the science of flexography and awards scholarships annually through their Harper Army National Guard Scholarship fund. “It’s a great way for us to show our appreciation for their sacrifice and at the same time give them a viable future in our growing industry,” he added.

Along with deep industry experience, SJW Associates also brings many ancillaries to the table, as well as time-tested tools that bring positive results. “Steve and I are already developing some new ideas with which to approach the industry, to provide a better overall solution, of which the press is but one component. This holistic view of providing value-added services and tools to ‘kick it up a notch’ will certainly pay big dividends for our customers,” Jacques concluded.
