Gallus Orders Equipment from Martin Automatic

ROCKFORD Ill.—Gallus Stanz- und Druckmaschinen Gmbh, Weiden Germany, placed orders at drupa 2008 for non-stop splicing and automatic rewinding systems from Martin Automatic, Inc., Rockford, Ill., for two new Gallus press lines to be installed in North America and Asia.
One project will feature a Martin model MBX automatic butt splicer for paper and paperboard, used in conjunction with a Martin model LRD automatic transfer rewind. The other project will incorporate a Martin model MCB automatic butt splicer. Both splicer models use Martin’s patented lift-and-load roll loading and butt splicing system.
“We are very pleased to be able to announce this major order during drupa 2008. This order continues a long and successful relationship between our two companies,” reports Jim Ward, vice president of engineering for Martin Automatic.
