GEW Strengthens Italian and Swiss UV Force

UK-based UV systems manufacturer GEW has announced the appointment of PUNTO LUCE SRL and Celi S.a.s. to support its growing activities in the Italian and Swiss printing markets.

PUNTO LUCE manufactures equipment for the production of photopolymer printing plates and has been established in the graphic arts industry for more than 20 years. Sales Manager Daniele Olive will be responsible for the sales of GEW UV curing systems through the company’s network of agents in Italy. Olive brings extensive knowledge in the field of UV curing gained while technical manager of Colorgraf a major supplier of inks and as Italian sales representative for offset, flexo and rotary screen presses for Rotatek. As a result of this expertise, in 2007 the company that will deal exclusively with UV curing products from systems to spare parts.

Celi S.a.s has been in existence more than 30 years and in the last 10 years has specialized in providing technical service to the graphic arts industry where it has established a solid reputation for after sales support through Carlo Garancini, electronics engineer. Celi will provide installation and after sales support for GEW UV systems supplied throughout both Italy and Switzerland.

States Franco Pagano, sales manager, Southern Europe, said, “We continue to see the growth and acceptance of GEW UV systems in Italy with the need to provide solutions to curing problems in both the label industry and other sectors of the market. Printers want to increase print quality, cure efficiency and press speeds as well as reduce running costs whether through OEM specification or by upgrading existing presses with the new electronic technology we can provide. We must satisfy this need and provide the level of service demanded in a highly competitive market. The appointment of PUNTO LUCE SRL with its knowledge of the Italian print market strengthens our sales position. Similarly Celi S.a.s. brings a dedicated area of knowledge in the field of technical service and will help us to consolidate our reputation for after sales support in Italy.
