More Space Available For Labelexpo Europe

February 2007
BRUSSELS, Berlin—Labelexpo Europe 2007, taking place on 26-29, is expected to attract more than 23,000 visitors to Brussels from all over the world. With the ongoing growth of the label industry, more companies are exhibiting this year and an additional hall will make the show even larger than in 2005. With 90 percent sold, of exhibitor space sold, six halls will be packed with international suppliers unveiling their new machinery and innovations on this special global stage.

With the global label industry continuing to grow steadily at a rate of 5-7 percent each year, Labelexpo Europe provides the opportunity for manufacturers to showcase their latest innovations and launch new products to a worldwide audience of decision-makers. With an increasing emphasis on the internal efficiencies within the converting operation, visitors to the show will see best practice examples on how to adapt their businesses to new pressures while saving cost and maximizing profitability.

The show is expected to welcome over 500 companies to Brussels, including major global suppliers such as Nilpeter, Mark Andy, Avery Dennison, Gallus, UPM Raflatac, Omet, Gidue, HP, Sun Chemical, Rotometrics, Rotoflex and Zeller + Gmelin. The latest technological developments will be on display at the show, including: new digital printing systems; RFID options open to the market; value added inks helping to protect brands; and new direct flexo plate engravings, to name a few.

People attending the show come to: do serious business; view and buy new machinery; see the latest technologies driving the market; and make strategic decisions about their businesses. Visitors can also hear advice and insights from leading experts through several high-level seminar sessions taking place at the event. The show is also the perfect location for the industry to network with colleagues, customers, suppliers and leading experts.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said, “We’re very much looking forward to an even bigger and better Labelexpo Europe this year. With visitors from 110 countries attending in 2005, we’re expecting the show to be even more international. Labelexpo Europe continues to be the place for senior industry professionals to make strategic decisions about how to achieve optimum productivity and greater profitability as well as how to keep up with the fast-moving technological advances.”

The show is also the focus for the label industry to reward excellence and recognize outstanding achievement through the prestigious Label Industry Global Awards. These widely recognized accolades have been rewarding the industry since 1992 and the 2007 event is set to attract 600 industry professionals to the glittering Gala Dinner and Ceremony. The must-attend Awards take place at both the Labelexpo Europe and Labelexpo Americas shows, making them an important annual event on the industry calendar.
