Catalent Lead Sponsor of 2009 Pharma Packaging and Labeling USA Conference

SOMERSET, N.J.—Catalent Pharma Solutions, a provider of outsourced clinical, commercial packaging and printing services to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is the lead sponsor of the Pharma Packaging and Labeling USA Conference to be held on February 18–19, 2009 in Philadelphia.

Top executives from leading U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturing companies will be attending this two-day conference tailored to maximize knowledge sharing and networking among pharmaceutical packaging and labeling professionals. The conference will cover innovations in packaging materials, new technologies, anti-counterfeiting methods, compliance packaging, senior-friendly and child-resistant packaging and other important issues facing the pharmaceutical packaging and labeling industry today.

As the lead sponsor of the event, Catalent will have an active and integral role in the program. Victor Dixon, VP and general manager of the Printed Components business of Catalent, will be the Chairperson for the first day of the Conference and will give the opening and closing remarks. He will also co-chair a roundtable discussion on “The Future of Compliance and Adherence Packaging” with Brian McCarthy, Catalent’s VP of business development for Printed Components.

Adrian Stoch, Catalent’s General Manager for the U.S. locations of Printed Components, will be giving a presentation on “e-MAGINEERING the Future of Pharma Printing” which will cover innovative technologies designed to enhance customer service, increase efficiency and reduce costs on the printing line while looking towards the future of component printing.

Catalent will also host a workshop and post-conference visit to Catalent’s Moorestown, NJ facility on February 20th, the day following the event. The on-site, interactive workshop, “Solutions for your Pharma Printed Component Challenges,” will cover core technologies and solutions for quality and efficient printing, including a live demonstration of Catalent’s e-MAGINEERING services.  The workshop will be presented by Victor Dixon, Adrian Stoch and Brian McCarthy.
