Renaissance Mark to Consolidate its Printing Business

September 2006
Renaissance Mark, Inc. announced that it intends to consolidate its Napa label-printing business into its Montreal, Canada, and Sparks, Nev. locations. Louis Belliveau, chief operating officer for Renaissance Mark, stated that both locations have state-of-the-art, world-class label-printing technology specifically designed to produce custom wine labels.

Craig Bakken, vice president of sales and marketing, confirmed that Renaissance Mark has a long-term commitment to the wine industry in Napa and worldwide. “Our relationship with our cusomers is a key factor in this decision. We are dedicated to bringing innovation and cost containment to our clients in the Napa/Sonoma wine market and our customers globally,” he said. “This move will enhance our ability to bring new products and competitive pricing without jeopardizing our industry-leading service and quality.”

Bakken further stated that Renaissance Mark will continue to have a sales and technical-service presence in the northern-California area, allowing the sales team to continue to provide service to the company’s West Coast-based customers. Warehousing at its Northern Nevada facility will ensure same day and next day deliveries as required.

Belliveau stated that Renaissance Mark continues to invest new captial for all locations and has invested approximately $6 million in 2006. “Specifically at our Sparks, Nev. location, we recently installed a new eight-color Mitsubishi Diamond press, allowing us to better service our wine-industry customers and their specific needs, as well as our entire customer base in our key markets,” he said.

Belliveau further commented that Montreal is an industry leader in the production of labels for the wine and sprits markets. “We have serviced global customers from this location and are excited about the continued growth in these markets,” he said.

The Napa consolidation is being managed with careful project management and planning. “Under the consolidation schedule, the complete transfer of the business out of the Napa facility will be complete by mid-November, 2006,” Belliveau said.
