September 2007

FRANKLIN, Tenn.—Resource LabelGroup, LLC announces the company has merged with Nashville, TN-based Mid-South Graphics, Inc. Both companies are to be located at Resource LabelGroup’s headquarters located in Franklin.

Resource LabelGroup’s merger with Mid-South Graphics expands the company’s offerings into the technology-driven RFID sector. Resource LabelGroup CEO Allen Barnes, commented, “Packaging buyers and consumer packaged goods companies are exploring technology at such a fast pace, and they’re looking to their label suppliers to expand their service offerings beyond printed pressure sensitive prime labels. It’s imperative that label converters grow and change in order to become effective solutions providers. The merger with Mid-South Graphics catapults Resource LabelGroup to the highest level of application engineering expertise across narrow web technologies, and a turnkey range of services that will meet our customers’ needs well into the future.”

Founded in 1957, Mid-South Graphics was a pioneer in the computerized labeling and application industry, and in 1991 the company shifted its primary focus to the production of specialty tags and labels. Mid-South entered the RFID arena in 2002 and today, RFID applications make up more than 30 percent of the company’s total revenues.

Mark Davenport, founder and CEO of Mid-South Graphics, has been appointed president of Mid-South RFID, a newly formed division of Resource LabelGroup. He said, “I have always viewed ResourceLabel Group as one of the highest quality, customer-driven operations in the industry and I’m very excited about the merger between our two companies. ResourceLabel’s prime label-converting capabilities, coupled with Mid-South’s smart label expertise, will present a unique opportunity to our customers and to our employees.”

Mark Davenport was NOT the fouder of Mid South Graphics. Don Davenprt, a well respected , and very business savy gentleman founded the company in approximately 1992. I am sure "Mr. D" is rolling over in his grave over what Mark has done to his life's work. Mark is a coward and a sell-out who ruined many lives with his cowardess.
