Converter Accessory Corporation

(800) 433-2413; Fax (610) 863-7818

A new two-station rotating roll handling device from Converter Accessory Corporation, the Rol-handlR, is designed for rolls that weigh up to 2,000 lbs. Dual lift stations with two pivot points allow a roll to be readily maneuvered into true vertical and true horizontal positions, helping to eliminate damage to roll edges, and allowing rolls to be securely and safely placed in the desired positions. The Rol-handlR's CAC® System consists of a unique "L"-shaped pivot arm and a tandem, 360° North to South rotating hoist assembly that mounts to, and tracks along, any standard "I" beam.

Pile turners increase productivity, maximize efficiency

Colter & Peterson, Inc.

(800) 932-0780; Fax: 973-684-0260

Basic pile turner models are available from Colter & Peterson for turning only, while more sophisticated models include aeration, jogging with an alignment ruler and electric turning. Optional ionization is available to eliminate static build-up. Productivity is increased when using a Rachner pile turner by eliminating the manual activity of turning stock. Using a Rachner unit to jog and realign piles that have been knocked ajar in the press delivery can facilitate feeding and further increase productivity. Aeration of sheets substantially increases productivity as well. Minimal floor space required, no special foundation and can easily be moved with a pallet jack. Available in four models: R 800 (23 in. x35 in.), R 1000 (33 in. x 51in.), R 1500 (42 in. x 65 in.) and R 2000 (51in. x 71 in.).

Unlike caster or semi-live models that must be physically pushed or pulled, these units feature a motorized drive for effortless movement from one location to another. Dual wheel steering and a comfort-grip handle provide maximum control and maneuverability even in tight spaces. A maintenance-free battery provides ample power to make multiple trips in a single shift. The units' integral charger fully recharges the battery overnight. Backsaver Lite Powered Portable Lifts are available in 550 lb. and 1,100 lb. capacities with a choice of 24 in. x 50 in. or 30 in. x 50 in. platforms.
