Scitex Vision Appoints Cascades Resources as Agent for Canada

February 2005
NETANYA, Isreal—Scitex Vision America, Inc., has announced that Cascades Resources, Mississauga, Ontario, has been appointed the exclusive Canadian distributor for all of its line of digital printing equipment and consumables for industrial applications including wide format graphic arts and packaging.

"We are very pleased to have this agreement with Cascades Resources, an established supplier of graphics products with a nationwide network of distribution centers in Canada," said Steve Zunde, president of Scitex Vision America.  "This arrangement will allow us to provide a higher level of service and responsiveness for existing customers while making our products available to many additional screen, sign, and packaging printers."

Carl Best, director of business development, graphics, for Cascades Resources said: "Our new relationship with Scitex Vision is an important milestone in our efforts to build a comprehensive portfolio of digital printing solutions across all segments of the printing industry.  We are confident that Scitex Vision, a leader in the market for large format solutions, will play a key role in our product offerings for many years to come."

Among the Scitex Vision equipment Cascades Resources will market in Canada will be the Scitex Vision VEEjet+, Scitex Vision XLjet+, Scitex Vision TURBOjet, Scitex Vision CORjet Premium and Scitex Vision GOjet printers.

"This is an important first step in our plans to establish alternative distribution channels in North America," said Scitex Vision's Zunde.  "These expanded distribution channels will allow us to concentrate on core product and technical issues while continuing our growing sales momentum in both the US and Canada.  At the same time, we will be strengthening our partnership with customers and providing them with better service and faster turnaround through local stocking of parts and ink."

Scitex Vision will continue to provide technical services and support to Canadian customers.
