Sino-Pack 2008: Internationalized Gateway to China Market

June 2007
China’s entry into WTO, along with the fast and healthy development of food, electronics, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, daily chemicals and other related industries, have provided a favorable platform for the growth of China’s packaging industry. Besides the juicy domestic market, the export market will also lead the packaging industry to grow stronger. According to the “2007-2010 Year China Packaging Development Forecast And Investment Analysis Report” from CCMNET, there are 11,000 domestic packing enterprises in China; and the total output value closed to RMB500 billion in 2006, whereas the paper packing product surpassed 20 million tons. During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, total output is forecasted to reach RMB800 billion, and will maintain an annual growth rate of 7 percent. From 2011 to 2015, the total output value is expected to reach RMB1,000 billion, enjoying an annual growth rate of 16 percent. With this vast opportunity, the suppliers tend to look for a recognized and well-established packaging exhibition, as a direct and effective channel, to reach potential buyers and to establish their brands for more market share.

China International Exhibition on Packaging Machinery & Materials (Sino-Pack) has been well- known for its expertise and has been one of the leading packaging events in China. Sino-Pack 2008 will be held again at the largest exhibition center in Asia, China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, PR China from March 4-7, 2008. It will serve as a meeting platform for key decision makers in the industries, including food, drink, daily chemical, pharmaceutical products, plastics (including bottle, film, etc) and paper packaging manufacturers, with all-in packaging solutions by international suppliers.

Moreover, in Sino-Pack 2008, different theme zones on major industrial sectors will be featured, including “Food & Drink Packaging,” “Pharmaceutical and Daily Chemicals Packaging,” “Plastics Packaging,” “Paper Packaging,” and “Export, Finished Packaging Products and Services.” The theme zones on plastics and paper packaging will showcase the latest market trends, application of new packaging materials and machinery, and quality finished products at a time.
