The Open Approach Forms Partnership with PIA/GATF

August 2006
WESTMONT, IL—In a move to expand value-enhancing services offered to its members, PIA/GATF has formed a strategic alliance with The Open Approach. The partnership will give PIA member firms access to the insights, knowledge, and experience of proven industry experts, at special rates.

Comprised of print industry veterans, The Open Approach partners each deliver more than 30 years of experience spearheading the success of large national print conglomerates, regional solutions providers, family-owned businesses, and other graphic arts companies. PIA/GATF members can secure the firm's assistance with mergers and acquisitions, corporate positioning, strategic direction, exit strategies, and other activities to help them increase market value and tap new revenue streams.

"Our partnership with The Open Approach strengthens PIA/GATF resources, enabling companies to improve their financial success," explained Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA/GATF. "Now members can receive even greater assistance in tapping the burgeoning opportunities in the industry."

As the only consultancy focusing exclusively on the print/graphic arts industry, The Open Approach team has a long, successful track record in driving the success of top companies in the industry. Its partners' proven, real-world experience translates into quicker, more lucrative results within the unique dynamics of the print industry. Since its founding in 2001, the firm has brokered the sale of numerous print entities, spearheaded corporate growth strategies, devised nationwide sales programs, resolved seasonal variances, and executed major financial initiatives. A portion of proceeds from any member engagement will be applied to fund PIA/GATF educational programs.
