Designed specifically for paper and printer waste, the PV features an oversized feed ram augmented with “gripper” teeth that work in conjunction with Vecoplan’s patented low speed high torque cutting rotor to ensure the most efficient processing of waste paper.
Perfect for sheet waste, skeleton waste, slab waste, signature waste, or virtually any other type of paper waste, the PV delivers two major benefits for printing plants. First, it processes paper for improved baling. The PV produces consistent paper shred sizes that bale better, tighter and neater for bales with less air pockets and less shedding in between the straps. Second, it provides secure information destruction. The PV shreds waste paper, flawed press sheets, overruns and other end products that may contain information that needs to be destroyed for legal or customer confidentiality reasons.
In addition to paper the PV also shreds cardboard, plastics, films, textiles, and wood. It features true dump and run operation, so entire pallets of waste can be fed into its hopper. The PV’s hopper has a volume capacity of 3.1 cubic yards and a 42”x50” infeed opening. Its 15” diameter rotor has 27 cutting inserts, is powered by a 40 HP motor, turns at 120 rpm, and is fed by a two speed hydraulic ram.
