Vertis' Chalfont Facility Named Best Workplace for Fifth Year

January 2005
BALTIMORE, Md.—Vertis, the premier provider of targeted advertising, media, and marketing services, recently was honored for exemplary human resource practices in the printing industry. Bestowed after a rigorous review, the Chalfont, Pa., facility was recognized as one of "The Best Workplaces in America." The facility has been named one of "The Best Workplaces in America" in each of the first five years of this award's existence, and have also been recognized as Best of the Best in 2000 and 2003. The national award is sponsored by Master Printers of America (MPA), a unit of the Printing Industries of America.

"Our internal cohesion is an integral key to our success," says David Colatriano, group president of Vertis East. "Being recognized as one of 'The Best Workplaces in America' by the MPA for five years in a row is an exceptional achievement on the part of our entire staff and a testament to our commitment to uphold excellent standards in human relations."

The companies who entered the competition were judged based on six categories: work environment and organizational culture, training and development opportunities, financial security, personal/work life balance, recognition and rewards, and health and well-being programs. Those honored for "The Best Workplaces in America" have been awarded for their distinction after a thorough review which credits those in the printing industry with exemplary human resource practices.
