WS Packaging Group Selects and Implements Radius Solutions’ ERP/MIS

March 2008
CHICAGO—Radius Solutions Ltd. announced that WS Packaging Group has implemented PECAS Vision in three of its sites and has plans to roll out this solution in its remaining fifteen facilities.

WS Packaging Group has more than forty years of experience in printing and flexible packaging for retail, commercial and industrial markets. The company’s focus on innovation enables it to provide a wide range of capabilities and services to clients to help them achieve impactful packaging results. With 18 different locations, the organization offers local representation to clients as well as a national reach.

The decision to implement a new business information management system was based on the need to move to a single integrated business platform so the company could standardize business operations across facilities, embrace lean manufacturing practices, and gain access to a single source of business information for all of its operations. The company executives wanted the ability to monitor all areas of the business for decision making and to see how resources could be moved between facilities to maximize efficiencies.

The company spent more than a year undergoing due diligence to select the right long-term applications provider. A very extensive analysis of the PECAS Vision system was conducted, including five detailed demonstrations addressing all functional areas and leveraging sample jobs. “WS Packaging Group knew exactly what it wanted from an ERP system and provider. Their process of selection was very thorough and professional and helped give us get a great start in the implementation”, said David Taylor, president and CEO of Radius Solutions.

PECAS Vision was selected on a ‘Proof of Concept’ basis. After completing the initial implementations in three of WS Packaging’s larger plants, it was then slated for full roll out across all facilities. “The Radius Solutions staff is by far the most knowledgeable group of individuals when it comes to designing their software to meet the demands of the printing and packaging industry and companies like WS Packaging Group, Inc. They had a solid implementation approach and the project manager they provided is phenomenal,” said Bill Challoner, VP of business and market development at WS Packaging Group.
