BRYAN, Ohio—U.S. Veteran and printing industry representative Howard B. Vreeland, Sr., 87, of Bryan, died Friday, June 13, 2008. Born on October 4, 1920, in Caldwell, New Jersey, Vreeland was the son of John Henry and Lulu Belle (Ward) Vreeland. He graduated from Kingspoint Merchant Marine Academy in Long Island, New York where he received a degree in Hydraulic Engineering. A Navy veteran of WWII, he married Alice T. Kennedy on December 14, 1945 three hours after his college graduation, in Long Island, New York. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2002. Howard was the Owner and Chairman Emeritus of the Board

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—The fourth annual Phoenix Challenge Fund Raising Luncheon, organized to support the 2007 Annual International Phoenix Challenge Flexo Skills Competition and the brand new PC College competition, took place at the Doubletree Hotel in Charlotte, N.C., and boasted a record attendance of more than 100 participants.
